Living With HPV

I'm a 20 year old girl. I found out on December 1, 2011 that I had contracted the STD called HPV (wart strain). I'm offering advice I wish I had received before getting HPV, along with documenting each day dealing with HPV, Life, and Personal Experiences living with this STD. Any questions, feedback or support is appreciated greatly. If you need someone to talk to, private message for my phone, email or Facebook. I'm here for anyone and I'm usually always available.

Anonymous asked: lol @ that other anon. My doctor basically told my I'm stuck with HPV for life. All I can is keep my body and immune system healthy. It's been almost 8 years now. I maaaybe get one wart every one or two years. I know I still have it even though it doesn't show up in pap tests anymore

Exactly. Mine told me the same thing. I haven’t had symptoms for a whole year now. But a lot of people say theirs come and go throughout the years.

Anonymous asked: Thanks for making this blog I just found out I was positive this morning and I've been crying about it all day. Your blog makes me feel a lot better about it.

No need to cry!!! I know it’s hard but I promise you that it gets better .

Wedding Update.

Anonymous asked: I don't know what's wrong with that person having a go, I think what you've done is great, finding this blog really made me feel a lot better about a bad situation... People don't understand there's only so much you can tell them when you're not a doctor and can't see what's going on with them. So yeah, thanks!

It’d be different if these people were asking me questions instead of proclaiming false info without any sort of source or reason behind it. Even when I post from a site they try to contradict me.

ugh.

Anonymous asked: Don't close your blog. I know a lot of people are giving you grief for stupid shit but what matters are the people you impact positively (me included). It seems that more people are prone to criticism now a day than praise...which I think you deserve a ton of (praise obviously). Don't let these idiots get under your skin. They're just as afraid as you were when you discovered your disease, I'm sure. I live this blog, so at least for me, you should keep this running and screw the assholes. <3

I just get so tired of people telling me what to say and how to run MY blog. If they are so concerned they need to go make their own. Then again, I’d rather them not because they’re putting out so much misguided info out there.

I’m glad you have received positive energy from this blog. <3

Anonymous asked: why are you yelling at the anon who told you what their doctor said? are you a doctor?

Fuck off. Sincerely. Fuck off.

Doctors give misleading information. That was my point. I posted info from the CDC website. So get the hell off my blog. I am so done with this shit its not even funny. You want to run a blog and give your own fucking advice, make your own and learn to read.

Anonymous cowardly fuck.

Anonymous asked: Hey, I had hpv genital warts about a year ago, took a few months to get rid of them with aldara and some warticon and I've had about three and a half months being symptom free. I've got a new sexual partner, and the past couple of times it's been painful in my right hand side during and after sex; a stabbing pain during, and a dull ache after. I'm gonna go get checked out asap, but I was wondering what the chances are that it's pre-cancer...

Warts do not cause cancer. It sounds like you may have cysts on your ovary or even an infection.

THIS IS MY FUCKING POINT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND.

Genital warts usually appear as a small bump or groups of bumps in the genital area. They can be small or large, raised or flat, or shaped like a cauliflower. Health care providers can diagnose warts by looking at the genital area during an office visit. Warts can appear within weeks or months after sexual contact with an infected partner—even if the infected partner has no signs of genital warts. If left untreated, genital warts might go away, remain unchanged, or increase in size or number. Warts will not turn into cancer.

YES, they say the virus can clear within two years. BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO FUCKING TELL BECAUSE THERE IS NO TESTS TO MONITOR OR EVEN CHECK HPV LEVELS. IT’S A MOTHERFUCKING VIRUS.

EDIT : ALSO THE TWO YEARS IS COMPLETE SHIT FOR SOME. I KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD SYMPTOMS FOR NEARLY 5 YEARS.
